The Camping And Festival Essentials That’ll Make Your Lost Paradise 2017 Incredible

Lost Paradise is a camping festival, so we know we don’t have to tell you bring your own tent. And of course if you’ve booked one of our glamping options, you won’t need to bring one at all.

Tent aside, what else should you keep in mind to take with you to Lost Paradise 2017, in order to make the experience more comfortable, colourful, and creative? And not limited to just your campsite, but your overall time at the festival?

Well, here goes…

P.S – Before we get into it, remember we’re currently on third release pricing for Lost Paradise. Once these final discounted tickets are gone, we’re on full price.

Mini-Survival Kit

You know – the essentials you need to keep yourself comfortable at a camping event. Bercoaa, bandaids, cotton-buds, toiletries, sunscreen, zinc, sleeved shirts to keep the sun off, sunglasses, and a hat to cover your face. Come on, this ain’t your first event rodeo, you know what you should be taking with you.

Light It Up!

Camping lanterns are great for keeping your camp site well lit! You can make a cheap light source using a torch and a bottle of water. Just strap the light around the container, with the light pointed towards the water. Much better! Or if you are feeling like creating some magic around your campsite, fairy lights are a fun source of light! – Just a thought!

Take a Seat! (Pun intended)

Or at the least a Picnic Blanket or Towel; As much as we want to see you dancing up a storm, there will be moments where laying horizontal or just taking a nice comfortable seat in your campsite might be just what you need to revitalise the body. It’s important you look after yourself just as much as having a load of fun!

What’s your Tent Mascot?

Last year we witnessed a beautiful array of Tent Mascots; we feel its about time we ‘up the anti’ on these & throw it out to all your Lost Boys & Girls to show us what your Tent Mascot is made of? Can’t wait to see your creative juices flowing with this request!

‘Hatters Gonna Hat!’

Saying you don’t look good in a hat is like saying you don’t look good in shoes! Headpieces, Wraps, Masks, Sun-hats, Captains or even a Hard hat! – Get creative peeps, these could be the epic identity for your Lost Adventure!

Pretty Ponchos, Umbrellas & Gumboots!

As much as we are calling upon the sun gods to grace us with their warm presence for Lost Paradise days, we feel it is necessary to ‘adult’ to the full extent – In the case of a few raindrops or 10, pack a brightly coloured Poncho & Gumboots to whack on if required – you can never be too safe! 😉

We’d rather be floating…

Calling all Unicorns, Swans & Pool Noodles! What’s a River party without a giant inflatable alligator? A floatation device is a must for all, especially when you consider the creek that flows through the event site! Enough said.

Quench your thirst!

Water is the driving force of all nature & we want you to withstand Australia’s Summer at Lost Paradise. Hot Tip: Bring along Large Water Bottles, Containers or even Buckets! We have water stations situated around the campsites & we want you to utilise these!

I want to ride my Bicycle!

We say, Bring it on! Bikes are a great way to get from L to P (Thats right! – Lost to Paradise) really quickly! Having a bike to share among friends at your campsite is a great way to fetch supplies & go for joy rides around the grounds to visit

  • “Lost Paradise was like a big backyard party that just spiralled out of control; in the best way possible. A beautiful setting, a lovely cool river to swim in (or to hold an unofficial mini rave, as the case turned out), an entire corner of the grounds devoted to yoga and meditation and relaxation, and barely a bright neon flashing alcohol sponsorship logo to be seen, it carried the casual and laidback vibe of a much smaller festival — while still attracting some of the country’s most exciting and beloved live acts.”

“Lost Paradise is an experience that extends far beyond anything that could be promoted, advertised, or even expected. Quirky, eccentric, and so utterly unique, the adventure Losties holds for one is no same adventure for another. The festival itself is split into various sections that altogether provide an immersive experience for individual, couple and even family. Not only does the festival offer a chance to see internationally loved artists along with Aussie grown favourites, but includes mind, body and soul activities for the enjoyment and healing of all attendees; young and old.”

  • “Lost Paradise is the nuanced, well-rounded, quiet achiever of Aussie festivals; big enough to deliver on the great acts, but small enough to still have an air of intimacy about it.”

“Fancy welcoming in New Year amongst a bunch of friendly, live music and yoga loving revellers? Then Lost Paradise is for you. Over three days an 8000-strong crowd of families, wellness warriors, nature-lovers and hipsters descend on NSW’s picturesque Glenworth Valley to experience a festival like no other.”

  • “This is Lost Paradise’s third year and while that’s quite young in festival years, they keep proving they mean business. Their ethos extends past music too and the festival — held in Glenworth Valley (just an hour north of Sydney) — is built around a mix of art, yoga, performance and food. Because there’s nothing like a little yoga to dust off a festival hangover.”

“There are music festivals, then there is the mind-body-soul experience that is Lost Paradise.”

    – TIME OUT
  • “If you’re the adventurous type, being amongst the spectacular Glenworth Valley is heaven! Have a kayak… experience the spiritual realm in the Shambala tent. Throughout the festival there is always something great going on…”

    – MTV

“Lost Paradise changed my life. I continually chase the feeling of community and friendliness it gives me. All my friends are sick of hearing me talk about it.”

  • “The thing that really makes this festival shine is without a doubt the sheer variety of acts in that world class lineup. Dense, ambitious, and not afraid to throw in a few curve balls, Lost Paradise is much more than your average doof, but a playground for all, no matter what your age or musical alignment.”

“You escape the city, the smog and traffic, and lose yourself in a forest for a weekend, to the soundtrack of cicadas and a bubbling creek and some of your favourite music. Lost Paradise is one of the more beautiful festivals currently on the calendar”

    -Huffington Post
  • “Keep doing what you’re doing! Such an amazing, intimate festival. Felt like everyone there was one big family. Had a really amazing feel – everyone was supportive and comfortable and wanted each other to have a fabulous time.”

“Bars tucked away in the forest, spa treatments, and 7,000 beautiful humans partying to the world’s best musicians: Welcome to Lost Paradise, Australia’s answer to Coachella.”

  • “Lost Paradise is committed to giving punters a distinctly boutique experience, with an attendance of 8,000 punters, all getting lost in live music from some of the world’s most original musicians, food curated by Sydney’s top chefs, and more.”

“All the elements are spot on – location, audience, line-up and weather. Wonderful memories of an inspirational festival.”

  • “I remember the first time I played this festival I went for a walk around and thought, ‘this is the kind of festival that if I wasn’t working at I’d go to’. Last year after I played I walked around out the front to see Motor City Drum Ensemble and my feelings were the same – I’d happily do it again…”

“Lost Paradise has been and will always be such a special festival experience for me. I’ve never felt such a tight community vibe like that from a festival before. From the punters, the music and the staff, everything was beyond expectation. I’ll definitely be back as a punter as soon as I can.”

  • “One of the most magical spots we’ve ever played in Oz and a night complimented by generous staff and hospitality that really looked after us. A show we’ll never forget”

“Hidden in the stunning depths of Glenworth Valley on the Central Coast of NSW, revellers travel to a magical oasis built upon a unique mix of feasting, frolicking as well as famous local and international music acts.

“Do yourself a favour and make Lost Paradise your 2018 New Year’s resolution. There’s truly no other New Year’s Eve experience like it.”

    – MTV
  • “This is one of the best and most organised events I’ve attended (and I’ve been to a lot!) and whoever curated the masterclasses did a brilliant job of taking us out of our comfort zones. “

“….I love to dance, dress up boho-style and get out of the big smoke once in a while. Lost Paradise was all this and more – right on our doorstep.”

    – Lisa Messenger, Editor-In-Chief, Collective Hub

“It’s fun, silly and beautiful, all at once, and hasn’t yet failed to serve up a good time.”

    -Huffington Post
  • “Re-awaken your sense of wanderlust and adventure with the festival’s secret hideaways, glittering late night discos, and inspirational art and performance”

No1 NYE 2017/8 Event in the World – Buzzfeed

“Lost Paradise was a totally unique festival, nothing like it in Australia. Thank you to everyone who made it such a beautiful place.”

  • “Deep in enchanted bushlands it’s always a super diverse line up of DJs and acts playing to an audience down to dance all night. One of my favourite festies to play and attend. Topping off the year on a high note.”

    -Shantan Wantan Ichiban

“I had such a good time at Lost Paradise! It’s one of the coolest festivals I’ve been to. I loved playing the Lost Disco stage, the atmosphere was wicked, the decoration was class and the lit up signs the crowd brought with them, added to it too.

After my set I went on the dancefloor with a few of my mates and saw the new year in listening to Jackmaster & Jasper James, was a memorable new year!”
