Workshop Description:

The Handpan fundamentals workshop is an introduction to the basics of the Handpan, covering care for yoru drum and how to connect with the instrument. Anatomy of the Handpan, Introduction to scales, modes and tunings, Rhythm and Melody, Free flow exploration. The workshop closes with a handpan Sound Journey.

Biography:

After 20 years working as a visual artist in the film industry, Bevan moved his focus to the study of yoga and meditation. A passion for sound journeys, trance states and harmonic resonance led him to his work with Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls and ultimately the mysterious and magical family of instruments known as handpans.

He uses the instruments as tools for meditation, self expression and self knowledge.
