Raised in the coastal, industrial Australian town of Newcastle (better known as the Steel City), Loods is an understated character with a big, fun, raw take on classic house music.
2018 was big for Loods. Having relocated to London early in the year, he released two sell-out records on longtime friend Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs label, played a Boiler Room at London’s iconic Southbank Centre, dealt out mixes for Rinse FM, NTS, Netil Radio and Triple J, and toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
Not one to take things too seriously, Loods’ DJ sets are energetic, heartfelt, and built on pure hands-in-the-air house feelings.
Burning into the new year with a heated Australian summer tour, Loods has an arsenal of releases loaded for the next 12 months and will certainly be one to watch in 2019 and beyond.
