WHERE IS IT HELD?
Just one hour’s drive north from Sydney, the event is set across the stunning backdrop of Glenworth Valley and its 300 acre estate including a stream, surrounding woodlands and encased by vast lookout points.
WHO MAKES THE EVENT HAPPEN?
Festival co-founders Simon Beckingham and Wade Cawood are no strangers to producing finely tuned experiences for music-lovers, foodies and culture aficionados. Cutting their teeth in the UK, Thailand and Australia with intimate club shows and unique daytime events has seen them grow to curate a number of VIVID activations, a Sydney Opera House pop-up and various music performances as well as throwing some of the most memorable underground parties Sydney has seen in recent years. Their collective passion for music, community and good times done properly is perfectly encapsulated in Lost Paradise.
Simon and Wade wish to acknowledge the traditional land owners of Glenworth Valley. Sincere appreciation of the many staff, volunteers, teachers, artists and performers who contribute time, effort and a whole lotta love to make Lost Paradise happen.
WHAT DOES MY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET GET ME?
Your 4 day or 3 day GA ticket gives you access to general camping area, a camping spot to pitch your tent and entry to the main festival area. Buy tickets HERE
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 4-DAY AND A 3-DAY GA TICKET?
Your 4-day GA grants you access on the 28th Dec and your 3-day GA grants you access on the 29th Dec.
Top tip – Purchasing the 4-day GA Ticket is a pretty handy way to ensure you get first dibs on the prettiest camping spots, set yourself up with plenty of time to relax and unwind and take a wonder around to familiarise yourself with the delights of the festival. All food vendors will be full operational and we are throwing an Opening Party to end all opening parties on the 28th December featuring Late Nite Tuff Guy, Mallgrab and a host of others favourites. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
WHAT IS A FULLY REFUNDABLE $10 ECO BOND?
We’re taking a leaf out of the book of several other forward-thinking events, and doing some good stuff for planet Earth as well. Last year, Lost Paradise attendees left a combined 88.3 tonnes of waste – or the weight of 104 Volskwagen beetle cars – at the Lost Paradise 2016 festival site, meaning each person on average was responsible for 8.3kg. And when you consider the rate of recycling was only 12%, that’s a lot of trash. It’s also important to note this figure was up from 5.8kg per person at the 2015 event, meaning we weren’t thinking of the environment as a whole and doing better than we’ve done before, like we should all be.
Because of this, in 2017 we’re implementing a fully-refundable $10 ‘Eco-Bond’ deposit at the point of ticket purchase for this year’s edition of Lost Paradise.
How this will work is that at entry to the festival, you will be handed two bags; one for recycling, and one for landfill. When full, you can simply return them to a designated drop-off point within the campgrounds, at which point your Eco-Bond will be returned immediately to you via your cashless wristband on site. Feel free to spend it at the event, or have it refunded to you post festival. Our goal is that we all take responsibility to care for the Glenworth Valley, and to encourage people to leave as small a footprint as possible when enjoying time at Lost Paradise 2017.

HOW DO I CHANGE A NAME ON A TICKET?
Name changes can be actioned by simply logging into Pulse and going to my tickets. There you have the option to update the names on each ticket.
I CAN’T GO ANYMORE, WHAT SHALL I DO WITH MY TICKET?
There are no refunds on tickets except as required by the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. Incorrect purchases DO NOT qualify for a refund. Tickets are transferable and of course, gift-able. To arrange a name change; Name changes can be actioned by simply logging into Pulse and going to my tickets. WHO CAN APPLY FOR ZIPPAY?
Any Australian citizen or permanent resident, who is 18 years or older and is employed, earning at least $300.00 a week.
HOW MUCH DOES ZIPPAY COST?
At the end of every billing month, you can choose to pay off your balance in full, or simply make a payment that suits your budget (note: there is a minimum repayment of $40.00 per month required). A $5.00 monthly account service fee is added to your account for any month you have an outstanding balance.
There is NO establishment fee to setup your account and NO INTEREST ever! If you have repaid your balance in full within the 30 days, no fees will be charged to your account! Additionally, once you have repaid your balance down to $0.00, no fees will ever be charged to your account – it will simply remain open waiting for you to use it again to make additional purchases.
HOW CAN I APPLY FOR ZIPPAY?
You can apply once you have completed selecting your purchases. To create a zipPay account, all you need is a social media account and to confirm the details you would normally enter when shopping online (e.g. your name, email, mobile, address, DOB and gender). Subject to approval, this process takes only seconds after which you can complete your purchase and pay for it later! I’M UNDER 18 AND WANT TO COME TO LOST PARADISE, CAN I? With your parents you can. This is a family friendly event, NOT ALL-AGES – there is a difference. If you are 17 years or under (legal classification; a ‘minor’) you must be accompanied by your parent/s for the duration of the festival. You will camp as a family in the family camping area. We will not enter into further discussions around this rule of entry.
I’VE RENTED A GLAMPING TENT ON YOUR WEBSITE, DOES THIS INCLUDE ENTRY TO THE EVENT?
No – you must purchase a GA ticket for entry to the event. Glamping is an ‘add-on’.
WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE CAMPGROUND AREA?
Campfires, fireworks, fire twirling paraphernalia (sticks, balls etc), warning flares, alcohol, illegal drugs, skateboards, bikes, boogie boards, couches, inflatables, anything studded (i.e. belts, wristbands etc.), weapons of any kind, fireworks, professional still cameras (small still cameras ARE allowed), laser lights, umbrellas (bring a poncho or a raincoat instead), water pistols, any other items considered illegal or dangerous, strictly no animals. Cooking equipment, BBQ’s, flares, sparklers – nothing flammable. Glass – this includes wine glasses, jars, or any other containers or items made of glass
There will be a security check at the gate and prohibited items will be confiscated. Seriously don’t even try your ninja moves. We are extremely thorough in our search and rescue of alcohol and other such prohibited items. We are trying to create a safe environment for all.

WHY DO I HAVE TO BUY A VEHICLE PASS AS WELL AS AN EVENT CAMPING TICKET?
Vehicle passes are an initiative to help alleviate traffic congestion. The plan is to reduce the number of cars on the road by encouraging carpooling – the more people you have in your car the cheaper this pass will be per person. Its also better for the environment .. so WIN WIN.
CAN I BRING A CAMPER TRAILER OR CAMPERVAN?
Yes. If you are bringing ANY vehicle or caravan to sleep in, you MUST pre-purchase an RV Park Pass to do so. You will not be allowed to park and sleep in the camper’s car park or the GA camping area; there is a separate area for RV / car / van / caravan camping.
HOW MUCH SPACE DO WE GET FOR OUR CAMPSITE?
We have allocated enough space on site for each person to have approximately 3m x 3m. It’s big enough for your tent and some outdoor space, but you will be close to your neighbours. Space is at a premium, so be considerate and creative!
ARE THERE POWERED SITES?

From 8:00am on the 29th Dec unless you have purchased an early entry ticket which will allow you to enter from 8:00am on the 28th Dec.
IF WE HAVE OUR FRIENDS’ CAMPING TICKETS, CAN WE RESERVE A SPOT FOR THEM NEXT TO US?
To camp together you must arrive together.
OUR FRIENDS ARE COMING IN ANOTHER CAR. CAN WE CAMP TOGETHER?
You MUST arrive at the same time as your friends if you wish to have neighbouring campsites; which means driving in through the gates together.
CAN MY FRIENDS STAYING ELSEWHERE VISIT ME IN THE CAMPGROUND?
Only those with Camping tickets or wristbands are allowed in the relevant campground. Different wristbands will be allocated for different areas, i.e. Family area, Glamping, RVs and GA camping.
WE ONLY WANT TO CAMP ONE NIGHT – IS IT STILL THE SAME PRICE?
YES. There is only one price for the camping tickets.
CAN UNDER 18’S CAMP AS A GROUP?
No, there MUST be at least one parent for every 3 minors in a camping group. Please note, when entering the festival anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent/s and will not be permitted to enter otherwise.
WHAT’S THE SECURITY LIKE IN THE CAMPING AREA?
Apart from on-site Camping Marshals, there will also be security personnel. The marshals’ campsite for each area is marked with large banners. All queries and concerns should be directed to your marshals.
IS IT SAFE TO LEAVE VALUABLES?
Despite the best efforts of our staff and security personnel, there is still a risk of theft. Please leave valuables at home, locked in a car or on you at all times.
CAN I BRING MY OWN GENERATOR?
CAN I BRING ALCOHOL INTO THE CAMPING AREA?
BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited. This year we have cantina service offering beverages open within the GA camping and Glamping areas from 10am daily. We also have a number of bars within the festival grounds where those of age can responsibly imbibe.
CAN I BRING FIREWORKS INTO THE CAMPGROUND?
Fireworks are totally prohibited in the camping or festival area. If you ignite fireworks you will be removed from the site and may be the subject of police action.
CAN I BRING MY GHETTO BLASTER OR CRANK UP MY MEGAWATT SUBS IN MY CAR?
Please don’t, as your fellow campers may not agree with your taste when it comes to music. Leave it at home and travel light.
CAN WE HAVE A FIRE AT OUR CAMPSITE?
Patrons are not permitted to have campfires of any type. Gas stoves are not permitted. If you light a campfire you will be removed from the site and may be the subject of police action.
WILL THERE BY TOILETS AND SHOWERS IN THE CAMPGROUNDS?
YES. Shower and toilets will be brought in to service the campground. Please be considerate to the environment when using these, as there is no permanent water supply to the site, which means all water, has to be purchased and transported in and out of the site. This year there are more toilets and showers on-site than before with a permanent purpose built toilet and shower block in the GA camping area.
CAN I PARK NEXT TO MY TENT?
In the interests of a better camping experience and to help manage space better, we’ve adopted the method used by legendary music festivals around the globe, such as Glastonbury and Roskilde, where there are no cars within the campgrounds.
CAN I DRIVE IN AND OUT OF THE CAMPERS CARPARK OR RV PARKING AREA?
Once you have entered the site and your vehicle or RV is parked in their respective parking areas you cannot move your vehicle until you depart the festival.
CAN I BRING MY TENT INTO THE RV AREA?
There are NO tents allowed in the RV area. The RV area is only for vehicles designed to be slept in such as campervans, or towed devices such as caravans or camper trailers. No sedans or motorbikes are allowed in the RV area.
DO I NEED TO RESERVE A SPOT IN THE FAMILY CAMPING AREA?
No – if you book tickets for you and minors (children under 18), a spot in the family camping area will automatically be allocated to you. You will be directed there when you enter the festival.
WATER ON SITE
1. Free water stations will be placed throughout the entire site capable of servicing the entire festival.
2. Bottled water will be available to purchase at wholesale prices throughout the entire site (campgrounds and main area).
3. Free drinking water will be available at all bars
As part of our sustainability program we encourage people to bring their refillable water bottles, to reduce waste.
DO I NEED A LOST PARADISE FESTIVAL TICKET TO BOOK THE GLAMPING OPTIONS?
YES. To book Rent-a-Tent City, Rainbow Tipi, Avant Garde, Lotus Belle, Stylish Camping or Simple Pleasures Glamping options you MUST have already purchased a General Admission Festival ticket. Then you can book – at an additional fee – the services provided by our Glamping options, who will erect your tent or tepee, so it is ready and waiting upon your arrival at Lost Paradise.
IS THE FESTIVAL ALL-AGES?
NO, it’s family-friendly. Anyone aged 17 or under (legal classification ‘minor’) going to the event will need to be accompanied in and around the festival precinct by their parent/s. This is a non-negotiable and unaccompanied minors will be turned away at the festival gates.
Are under-18s allowed into bars or licensed areas?
Any minors found in these areas will be evicted from the festival and may face prosecution.
ARE KIDS AGED 10 AND UNDER ALLOWED IN FREE?
A ticket is required for every single person regardless of age and the processing fee is $49. Please bring some proof of age when they come to the festival. They will need to be accompanied by a parent at all times.
WHAT FORMS OF PHOTO ID WILL I NEED TO GET INTO THE FESTIVAL?
Not only will you need the below Identification to get through the festival gates, the Lost Paradise entertainment precinct is a licensed area and as such you will be required to show ID to purchase alcohol. Lost Paradise will only accept the following forms of Identification:
Current valid Australian driver’s license (with photo)
Government Issued Proof of Age Card
International Driver’s License (must contain a photograph)
For over-18s, STUDENT ID CARDS DO NOT QUALIFY NOR DO BILLS OR LETTERS.
If you cannot produce ID you will be treated as a minor and excluded from all bar service and bar areas.
For under-18s who don’t have a driver’s license or a current, valid passport, we will also accept a copy of your birth certificate PLUS one of the following:
Student ID Card
Bank Account Statement in your name

We offer activities, music, games, performance and movies to engage the children in this little slice of paradise. The night time session is held in our large, secure marquee. Perfect to give parents a little bit of adult time!

CAN I BRING MY CAMERA OR SOUND AND VIDEO RECORDING EQUIPMENT?
Smart phones, small point-and-shoot cameras are permitted but professional cameras and video and recording equipment are not.
Generally, cameras with powerful zoom lenses or detachable lenses in a carry case are not allowed. We can’t judge that beforehand. It’s up to security staff on the day, and debate will not be entered into. Unauthorized or prohibited photography may result in images being deleted by security staff.

YES, you can bring your own food with you and there will be a variety of food options throughout the festival, available to purchase during the certain times. Please note food stalls will not be open 24 hours. Opening times will be announced closer to the event date.

No, all classes/sessions are free! no booking required. We recommend you arrive ten minutes prior to session start time so you can relax into the space.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN YOGA MAT?
If you have a yoga mat, and would like to bring it with you to participate in sessions please do, although its not essential! We will have limited edition LOST PARADISE yoga mats available to purchase at our merchandise stand.
HOW DO I GET A REFUND ON MY WRISTBAND?
Refunds onto wristbands will be available post event to register and return to your linked bank account until 20TH JANUARY 2017.
If you topped up with card, this will be refunded automatically back onto your card. If you topped up with cash, refunds will be actioned once a week into the bank account details you provide. This will occur every FRIDAY.
I’VE LOST SOMETHING. HOW DO I RETRIEVE IT?
All found/handed in items will be returned to Lost Paradise Head Office. All found/handed in phones, wallets and ID’s will be sent to the Police. All other items will be donated to charity if not collected by January.
